Professional Experience

​

Jose is very proud and grateful first and foremost to God for his previous work experiences; these served as great stepping stones to help him grow personally and professionally. Jose has worked in very demanding high paced environments, such as an Internal Auditor in the Mexican Senate, performing administrative and financial audits. Jose has also worked as a Full Service Auditor and Internal Controls Coordinator that covered The Coca Cola bottling company throughout the Hawaiian Islands. He has also worked for just over 12 years at Edward Jones Investments. Jose also is an owner and President of Akamai Roofing where he provides guidance and direction to management regarding growth, sales, implementation of processes, software compatibility, training structures, modeling and forecasting, etc.

 

Background

 

Jose and his wife Maribel along with their two daughters Isabella and Sofia, have always been passionate about helping people. Along with the hundreds of families Jose has helped in his financial career, he and his family also help the community. They founded a small non profit Next Step Foundation that supports people in need in Hawaii, such as homeless individuals, foster children, Shriners kids, children born with AIDS, etc. With most of his professional career relating to numbers, processes and money, along with his heart to help people make being a Financial Planner the obvious choice for him to spend most of his time. 

 

Education

 

As it goes in Hawaii when people ask where you went to school, they are usually referring to high school. Jose graduated from Henry J. Kaiser High School, and went on to get an accounting degree in Accounting from La Universidad Panamericana in Mexico City.

Some of the professional licenses and designations he is proud of besides a handful of financial seminars, courses, etc., relating to budgeting and debt to wealth programs are:
