Clifton Yasutomi, CWS®, AIF®

EXPERIENCE AND BACKGROUND

 

With a background in engineering for the Central Intelligence Agency, Clifton Yasutomi began his financial advising practice with Merrill Lynch in 2005. In 2018, he became a co-founder and Managing Partner of Mission Financial Group, an independent RIA. 

 

Clifton has been a special guest on business talk radio and a regular contributor to the Wall Street Business Network with weekly “Money Thought” radio commentaries. As a former member of the National Society of Financial Educators, he continues to enjoy conducting financial education classes focused on retirement planning and tax strategy.

 

In 2014, Clifton completed studies to earn the Certified Wealth Strategist CWS®) designation from the Cannon Financial Institute. In 2019, he attained the AIF® designation, demonstrating an understanding of the Prudent Practices® and methodology. 

 

PERSONAL

Clifton currently serves on the Advisory Board for The Salvation Army, was a board member of the Iolani Alumni Association, and was the youngest Rotary Club president in Hawaii. He also serves his church at Grace Bible Honolulu as a board member and small group leader. Outside of the office, he enjoys spending time with his wife, Renee, and sons (9 years and 6 years old). Clifton stays active surfing, coaching basketball, golfing, and practicing photography.
